Instructions |
5ml (1 tsp) oil or butter 1 small onion, peeled and diced 150ml Jägermeister 600g beef mince salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste 1 egg 4 hamburger buns Garnish of your choice (lettuce, onion, tomato, etc.) |
1. Place some coconut oil/butter in a saucepan and heat it over a hot fire. Add the diced onion to the pan. Once the onion starts to brown, add the Jägermeister. Fry until the Jägermeister reduces and becomes sticky. Remove from the grill and allow to cool.
2. Place the mince in a mixing bowl and add spices, to taste. Add the cooled Jägermeister onions to the bowl. Crack an egg into the bowl and mix well using your hands. Separate the mince into 4 equal portions and roll into balls. 3. Flatten each ball into a patty and add a small portion of cheese. Flatten another mince patty on top of the cheese, so the cheese acts as a filling between the two patties. Place on a medium fire. Braai until medium-rare (or as desired). Just before your patties are done, slice and toast your hamburger buns. 4. emove the patties from the grill and build your burgers, using garnish, as desired. |
