Required for all installation of freestanding and built in units

Its generally wrapped around the body of the unit when it gets built in. This insulates the unit and protects the structure around the fireplace or braai from obtaining any damage as the unit expands and contacts from the heating and cooling process.

The Insulation blanket is also required on freestanding or exposed flue installations. A section of the blanket should be wrapped around the flue pipe inside the ceiling and held in place with chicken mesh or a heat resistant material recommended by an experienced installer.
